Barbara Boertje

At the present time, Barbara is the Minister of Music at First Reformed Church in Grandville, Michigan (since 1989). She has been involved in full‑time church music for a total of nineteen years. Barbara Boertje has composed and/or arranged choral, handbell, piano and instrumental music.

Her degrees include Keyboard Performance (BA from Central College in Pella, Iowa), and Church Music (MM from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey).

She was also a missionary associate in Japan for a year and a half.

She has been privileged to study composition/arranging with Mark Hayes (but he might not want you to mention that!).
