Darcy Stanley

Darcy Stanley grew up in Illinois, where she began studying piano at the age of five. By the age of 11, she was playing church offertories and accompanying school choir. She earned a B.A. in Piano Pedagogy from Bob Jones University and a M.A. in Sacred Music with an emphasis in piano from Pensacola Christian College. Darcy worked as adjunct music professor at Faith Baptist Bible College for 15 years, teaching piano and Choral Writing and Arranging. She has been designated Permanent Professional Certified Teacher of Music in Piano from Music Teachers National Association, and has served as adjudicator for various music festivals and piano competitions.


As a composer, arranger, lyricist, and orchestrator, Darcy has had many original choral works, solo and duet arrangements, piano arrangements, and orchestrations published by Hal Leonard, Lillenas, Lorenz, Majesty Music, Soundforth, and The Wilds. Darcy has served in local churches along with her husband, Tim, for over 35 years. They currently live in Greenville, SC and are members of Cornerstone Baptist Church where Darcy is pianist and director of orchestra and instrumental ensembles.


Darcy and Tim have a daughter and son, both of whom are married. Darcy is delighted to be "Mimi" to 7 grandchildren, and loves opportunities to teach and share music with them.
