Kirstina Rasmussen Colllins

Dr. Kirstina Rasmussen Collins teaches music at Reedley College in central California. An experienced choir director, composer, and music teacher, Dr. Collins has degrees from the University of Southern California (BM), Boston University (MM), and the University of South Carolina (DMA).  She has studied choral conducting with Ann Howard Jones, Jo-Michael Scheibe, and Alicia Walker, and composition with Morten Lauridsen and Frank Ticheli.  Kirstina has worked with musicians of all ages and enjoys bringing out the best of each student or ensemble as they increase their musicianship.  An experienced vocalist, she has sung with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Boston Pops Choir, and Tanglewood Symphony Chorus.  Kirstina loves writing music for choirs and has had her music performed by choirs across the country.  She is published by Santa Barbara Music Publishers and Heritage Music Press.
