Lenny Seidel

For nearly forty years, Mr. Seidel has been the director of Grace Unlimited Music and Publications, which has been dedicated to promoting and preserving the effective music of the church, past and present, as well as teaching the elements of contemporary composition both sacred and secular. It has included solo performances, seminars, and concerts with various artists. He has performed over 3,500 concerts during that time, and presently conducts piano education through his studio, The Grace School of Music, in Springfield, Virginia.

He has authored two books on music and the Bible: God's New Song and Face the Music—Contemporary Church Music On Trial. His piano arrangements are published by The Lorenz Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. Many of his twenty‑one recordings are still used on national radio programs and are enjoyed by those who added them to their personal collections of recorded music over the years.

In addition to his teaching schedule, Mr. Seidel performs dining and background music for restaurants and The Hay‑Adams Hotel in Washington, D.C. It has been said that "he possesses a combination of the technique of the keyboard and a warm sensitive interpretation of music crafted into his transcriptions and arrangements which uses the classics as a foundation."

Mr. Seidel began studying piano at age six in his native state of Connecticut. He was a student of Alma Boutilier and attended the Norwich Free Academy. He had four years of study at the organ and continued both instruments during his five years at Bob Jones University. He has studied under Laurence Morton of the Toronto Conservatory and Victor Shklyar of the Moscow Conservatory. He also studied sacred keyboard and composition under Frank and Flora Jean Garlock, and contemporary secular improvisation under Wesley Hamrick of Orlando, Florida. Mr. Seidel recently celebrated his fiftieth year of teaching at his studio.
