Nancy Hill Cobb

Nancy Hill Cobb (b. 1951) was educated at Oklahoma Baptist University (BM), Michigan State University (MM), and the University of Oklahoma (DMA). She also completed post-doctoral studies in choral conducting at the Eastman School of Music.

Cobb's works appear in the catalog of a number of music publishers, including Hinshaw, Santa Barbara, Alliance, Gentry, Pavane, Bourne, Leawood, and Lorenz/Sacred Music Press. In addition to her many publications as a composer, Cobb has held several academic positions, including Founding Director of the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University; Director of the School of Music at Indiana State University; Associate Provost for Faculty at the University of Northern Iowa; Program Head of Theory, Composition, and Opera Theater Director at Oklahoma Baptist University; and Conductor of the University Chorale and Chair of the Theory and Composition Department at Mercer University. She was also Artistic Director and Conductor of the Fort Meyers Symphonic Mastersingers, Founder and Conductor of the Sine Nomine Singers (Shawnee, Oklahoma), and Conductor of the Stillwater Chamber Singers.
