Rebecca Bonam

Rebecca Bonam, a native of San Antonio, Texas, received her BA and MA degrees from Bob Jones University. Rebecca joined the music faculty at BJU where she taught classical piano and hymn improvisation, played for a Vesper choir, and arranged and composed many works for university productions. As a member of the university piano faculty, she performed and accompanied in a number of faculty recitals.

Currently, Rebecca lives in the Atlanta area where she teaches at Berean Baptist Music Academy in Lilburn. She remains an active member of GCMTA, NFMC, MTNA, and NGPT. Her students have been successful in competitions and various auditions. She has been a clinician and adjudicator for many seminars, conventions, and festivals throughout the United States.

A prolific composer and arranger, she has written many works for keyboard, flute, brass, and choral groups. Most of these solos and collections were published by SoundForth and are available through Lorenz. She has recorded two CDs—How Firm a Foundation and Spirituals for the Concert Pianist.
